HELP: Wierd buzzing sound when throttle is open very much on a wild old VW w/charger

I have a B&M supercharger on a old type 1 VW air-cooled engine. It is a DLI kit (Dick Landy drag racer) from way!!!! back.

The setup starts and works fine but when you put your foot in the throttle AT ALL there is this weird buzzing sound. It is annoying as heck. I turn the scoop on the carb around the other way (engine in back) just to quiet it down. But it looks dorky. Scoops should face forward.

Seems to come from the carb throat since the direction of the scoop throws the sound i.e. not a belt sound or bearing sound.

BTW: send the video to 2 guys who rebuild SC's for a living and they say they have not heard this sound before.
