low-mid 10s possible?
I am wanting to know if this would have any chance of running a solid 10s in the quarter. Never built a supercharged motor but this is what I have in mind. Mostly a street car, 357 windsor,8.5-1, Victor jr 70cc heads, custom cam, Performer RPM air-gap, 750 mighty demon, longtubes, and 16psi from a t-trim. Tranny will be tko with a 373. Suspension is setup for drag. Let me know what you guys think or what you would change.

If it was my car with 16psi, I would 9.0-1
-
Why would you go with 9.0-1 over 8.5-1. Couldnt you run more boost and timing on 93 octane with lower compression? Everyone I talk to seems to think 8.5 would be perfect but Im no expect.
-
You never said anything about 93 octane in your first post. I have a chevy buddy that has 383 procharger F-1 with a carb with about 16 psi 8.8-1 94 octane. He's motor makes a little over 700hp. I hope this helps, Good luck.

I hope I can make close to that power. I will mix 110 in when I go to the track. I will just tell my machine guy to get the compression between 8.5 and 9.0. Thanks for your input.

I go 10 - 10.25:1 on my car running 100 octane with 18 - 20 psi of boost. I would say the combination mentioned above should have no problems going 10's.
I have a 306, unported TFS TW heads, unported TFS street heat intake, Novi 2k with 18# boost, Tremec TKO, and 26X10 slicks going consistant low 10's.

How much timing are you running? Thats some good times. Whats your 60ft and how does it act on the street? Simple but very effective combo you have.

I run around 25-27 degrees of timing. The car will 60' in the 1.38 range. I rarely drive the car on the street any more so I can't really comment on that. The engine has no problems. The only complaints that I would have when it comes to street driving would be more suspension.
