General supercharge question regarding fuel delivery location.
I’m working on a 1950’s Ford Flathead V-8 that will be powering a front engine dragster. Some ratio of nitromethane/methanol will be delivered via mechanical fuel injection. I’m in the process of determining if I will be going with a roots or centrifugal supercharger. There are currently several aftermarket roots style blower manifolds out there for this application but none for centrifugal, but there are options.
One roots style blower manifold I have my eye on has provisions for injector nozzles to introduce fuel below the blower, close to the intake valve. What would be the pros/cons of injecting fuel at this point over injecting it through the blower?
Thanks,
Andrew
