Installed a Powerpipe - Does the Computer Need to Learn?
This is weird.
Car has a Vortech S-trim blown 347 with a C&L maf, 42# injectors, and a dyno-tuned autologic chip from the same combo, but with a Powerdyne blower - it runs perfect.
I installed a powerpipe to the mix on Sunday. (C&L is clocked at 2:30) position). At first the car started, but idled erratically, but after a few minutes the idle smoothed out to a perfect 800-900rpm. I revved the gas a few times and it was crisp and smooth.
I did not have time to go for a test drive, but all seemed fine.
Monday:
Drove the car to work, the car idled fine, but drove like it had a miss, it stumbled bad during normal driving pulling away from a stop and at low speeds. It pulled smooth and hard above 3000rpms. It behaved the same on the way home.
Tuesday -
I did not drive it to work, I wanted to check it out on the weekend, but at night a buddy stopped over and wanted to check it out.
I started it up and took him for a ride. PERFECT, no stumble, no problems.
What is the deal???
Howard
