And so it begins...
Was very slow at work today and I decided I had waited long enough to put in my new trans. Got the old stuff out in about 30 minutes, then the fun began.
I have/had subframes on the car and was told by D&D that I may have to notch them for the new crossmember to fit. Well if notch means remove then he was right. Problem was that they where welded on last year:confused: Time to break out the die grinder and the red wrench. Oh would you look at that, last guy to use the torches used up all the O2.
Well to make a long story short, it took over 2 hours to remove the subframes. It took another 2 hours to get all the metal out of my hair in the shower. Also now I have a really cool rust cooler band around both wrists, bonus!!
Other than that all went well and the trans looks kick *** under the car. I just have a few things to button up tomorrow and it is time for a test drive:D !!!!!

Got everthing buttoned up and drove the car to Alston Machine to have a roll bar put in. It is a trip having a 6th gear and it drops the revs way down. No speedo yet. I will post more info when I get it.
