bad luck continues
well finally got the smog pump on yesterday, started it up, and oil was leaking out of the return line, I didnt have the blower belt on yet, took the blower off, noticed the barbed fitting is bent, and there is a space between the casting and the fitting, would I be ok trying jb weld in there?

get a new fitting from a hardware store.
CHEAP
-
keeps getting better and better, I started turning it out, and it broke, now part of the brass fitting is stuck on the threads, how can I get that out>
-
now you need to purchase an easy out.
btw, which port is it? The port on the top or the discharge on the bottom?
If it's the one on the bottom you may be able to use a chizzle, but you may not want to cause you really don't want to get metal in there..
-
its the discharge tube on the bottom of the blower

An Eazy-out will do the trick, you may also want to run a tap through the threads as well prior to installing a new fitting, just be careful and don't fill the blower with metal shavings, you may want to pack the tap in grease first and then flush the headunit with some fresh oil prior to bolting it back on just to be safe.
