Pulley change
Hi guys,
I am looking to change the pulley on my Novi 2000. it has the stock 3.50 inch part at the moment. I see around 10psi currently and would like 13-14, I have calculated that the 3.25 inch pulley would be the way to go. Is this correct? And would I need a new belt to go with it? (10 rib)
It would be interesting to hear of any performance gains from a pulley change in the real world.
Thanks

Hi Jeff,
Before you change pulleys, I would suggest that you install a power pipe. I have the 10 rib set-up with the 3.50 pulley and the power pipe. If I spin my motor to 6200RPM I will see 13 pounds of boost. If you did change the pulley, then you would have to change the belt.

Doug,
I was going to get a Powerpipe as well!! I must have gone power mad, perhaps I should save the pulley for a while, with my bottom end and PMS I can probably lose the stock limiter and put a 6300 chip in the MSD. I have gone for 28 inch slicks by the way. On video with a 4k launch it spins right through first gear at the moment, you could even hear a screech as I shift into fourth.
Thanks
Jeff
