1000 on a 351w?
Guys I have a question. Will a single belt novi 1000 bolt on a 1994 or later 351 roller block?? The reason for this question is because I'm making 409 rwhp and I don't trust the stock 302 block. I have looked into the Dart 302 block wich is an awesome block but the cost is out of this world. And I have heard nothing but bad things about the fms 302 sportsman block. I have also heard that World Products just came out with 302 block but there web site says nothing about it and I can't find any info anywhere. my goal is 460- 500 rwhp please help Jammer

I don't know if the 1000 will bolt right up but anyway.....I think the 1K would be small for a 351 based motor. Keep in mind, the 1000 is an entry level blower. If you're looking to slap a blower on a 351, I would go with a Novi 2000....or a YSi :D

Ditto, the 1k is a "toy", my 331 is much more "worthy" of a bigger blower but it just isn't in the funds. If you are considering a 351, then you may be better off going with a 408 stroker N/A'd or with a little "giggle" juice. Had I the foresight, this is what I would have done......

Yup.....save your cash for the right blower or slap the juice to it.

So in the mean time what should I do? Keep pounding the stock block till it splits then start getting parts for my next engine? I'm to the point that I would like to crank up the boost to 10 -12 lbs with an 8" crank pulley and a custom chip for a little more hp. I'm just not to sure how my block is going to take it?

Well if you're lucky how much could you sell the 302 for? 200-300 if you're lucky. I'd run it til it crap and save up for the 351 setup. You could get the 2.75" pulley from ian and run the F-150 pulley with the same results. Try different stuff on the 302 as a learning curve and by then you'll know what you need for the 351.
I did the same thing btw.

Be careful. That monster of a 351 might actually suck down the poor N1k along with the incomming air charge. :D
