e cam is a great cam for a supercharged car regardless what your running, best low end of the alphabet cams, it has great power as soon as you hit 2500, all the way to redline. it has good lift for a supercharger and at the same time it has enough duration to make good power and good top end but not enough to make the car undrivable around town or cause drivability problems or lose boost because of too much overlap.
in fact i just got rid of my b303 cam i hated it, not enough power until you hit 3 grand. and too much duration and not enough lift for a charger i switched to a comp cams 264/ 274 .512 lift nitrous hp/ blower cam, a great alternative to the e cam with more lift, but less duration for more low rpm driving, but still will make the same power.
Depending on the stall speed of the converter the E303 might work better in the automatic car than in the stick car. Below the stall point the converter multiplies torque, whereas the stick car is stuck lugging itself through the weakened lower half of the useful rpm range (compared to the stock cam). This phenomenon gets worse, not better, as manifold and cylinder head port sizes are enlarged.
food for thought, thanx guys
I have the E303 Camshaft in my Mustang. I love it to death!
Hey Neil
Another E cam user here. I have never seen such a well rounded shelf cam.
I have used it in both supercharged auto and manual trans setups. Car was much faster with the C4 but I think the slowness of the manual conversion is due to the driver lol.
Faster or quicker? Or both :DQuote:

good cam. I used to run it. only bad point is the power stops at 5800.
I got the e-cam too, it's not bad but I was thinking about running it 3 degrees retarded. Has anyone tried doing that?
