As the title asks, how loud are these novi2k's? By loud, i mean the blower whine. I just recieved my renegade novi2k kit in the mail yesterday, but the car won't be running for awhile.
thanks,
jay

Noticable, but nothing like a procharger or am S-trim. If you are looking for steath, forget it.

At idle its the loudest but nothing like the old straight cut gear s-trim loud. Once you are up to speed though it gets a lot quieter, I've raced people who had no idea I had a blower on the car from a roll.
nice, hawk, thanks alot!!! your car sounds and looks awesome.

Thanks. I have a few Novi equipped 5.0's on video I could post up after uploading....I've got one of Hustler's old setup, Ian's and Chuck's kicking around on a CD somewhere.
Here's one that'll bring some memories back...

Have to try that one again later....Putfile is acting stoned right now on upload
Heh yeah I know which one you are talking about, I'll upload them to my buddies website. I'll even include a dyno video that shows the inside of Paxton's building which they had just moved into at the time (No blower on my car though). They were working on a kit for the cougar at the time. This was back in 99.

What did that old combo dyno? It's been a long time since the Novipower days!
unfortunately when I had it dynoed I didn't have the 42's in because my meter was still out for recalibration. So I was running the stock meter, no powerpipe and 19's which held it back. It still had stock heads also.

About a month after I had everything on, but still had the stock heads just never got it dynoed again. A year later the oil pump was starved in a race I had and gave up the ghost. Then the canton pan leaked and I was tired of pulling the motor to fix ****. Gave me a good excuse to get excercise and ride my mountain bike to work. Thats when I figured since it was down to put a new engine in.
