Depends on cam..stock 18-22..I have 6 @ idle...
thanks i was just wondering, my vacum reads 5-6@idle, my cam is a Steeda #18 4.80lift w/ 112 lobe sep.
I see 12-13@ idle with my Steeda #19 cam. My idle is set at 900rpm.
KenI what year is your car? and what motor did you put the steeda #19 in? Also do you like the #19 cam?
Its a 306 in a 95 Cobra. I like the cam. It pulls past 6000 and idles fine. I made 515hp/456tq with my SQ-trimmed 306.
My car has 10-12". Don't you think 5-6" is a little low. I have a pretty big cam and mine is still not that low. Why are yours any idea?
 i dont know why it low, i want mine to be around 14. i'm still trying to figure it out.Quote:

When I had the anderson b3 cam it was 14-15". That cam was .543/.543 220/224 ( I think) on 112. Sure your valves are set right and no leaks anywhere?
well i finally i got my vacum to 10 sometimes 9. i found a small leak where the egr connects to the t/b spacer. but i wish it was near 15.
curious how did ya find the leak I am having same problem
well i just took off the upper&lower intake and started all over again with new gaskets. ( the egr gasket i found was very old ) i just replaced it with an EGR eliminater spacer. good luck oh- yeah re-check all hoses.Quote:

guys if i take my rpm flux out wish is around 80 rpm right now I am pulling at 900rpm just about 11 with a 220 226 lift at .50 cam does this sound about right now? its idles and rives way way better:)
I think 11 is still a little low for a small cam. How many miles on the motor?
40ish is on the motor but its sat for a few years. It seams to run better the more it runs. What else can effect vacuum? Also its my pms that says that number my dumb vacuum gauge I guess is screwie from autometer....
