i have heard mention of different gear "cuts" on the P600's that has something to do with noise level. and i know other manufacturers offer the "quiet" superchargers. What is the noise level offered in the D1's? loud, i hope!!!! thanks, Ken

My D1SC honestly is not all that loud. When I first put the new D1SC on the car it was louder than what it is now, as I assume it is "broken in." At idle you can hear it, but the exhaust tone is louder than the blower, however when you can hear it most is around 2000rpms when cruising, makes sord of a whining/air rushing noise.Quote:

P600B's are by far louder than my D1SC, and so are S-trim vortechs.

DAM!!! i want some noise. small children to run for cover, animals to run for their lives............you get the idea.
The D1 is a little on the noisy side but the d1-sc is the quiet child. You can kind of hear it at idle but not as much as the d-1
Agreed, the self contained units aren't as loud as the oil fed ones. I've heard a D1, and it is quite a bit louder than my D1SCQuote:

Yeah I wish my D1-SC was a little louder, can only hear at idle with my loud exhaust
