Go or blow - part 2
Well I decided to void the warranty on the blower instead of spinning the crap outta my accesories.
I bought the 2.75 pulley from Paxton directly and switching it was a joke.
Ian and I were about to go for a rip and it started to pour rain so I cant see how much of an improvment there was yet. Previous boost was 7#'s I would like 10 but I think thats optimistic.
So I have my pail of 114 octane for tomorrow and Im gunna start at 26* total and work toward the 30* mark.
If it will take more than 30*, Im gunna try it.
So my baseline best was 12.0 at 117 with 25* total.
I ran 11.90 @ 114 last weekend but only ran 23* of total timing, experamenting with the spout out deal.
I will post the results tomorrow nite.

Any belt slip issues that you can tell thus far?? What did the pulley run you? I may go this route later on instead of doing a 8" pulley.
-
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHAAAAAAAAAAA! GO GET EM!
was that over the top?
-
 wooah!!! hell yeah! Kick some a$$ at the track Chuck man! Keep us informed!
-
Chuck, how you liking spout out timing? Big difference?

Brandon,
It works good it seems, but I do it to keep from getting big timing spikes in the mid range.
So any way the results are in but I had some issues with my clutch so I couldnt test the 28* mark, I didnt get detonation but the clutch slipped on the run, and just drove it home just incase.
So first off the 2.75 gave me 10#'s on the nose with the F-150 crank pulley.
On the first run' I went 11.80 @ 119.7. The timing was at 24* locked with the spout connecter out.
I backed up this run to make sure that there was no more to be had at that timing level.
I upped the timing to 26* still running with out the spout and it resulted in a 11.60 @ 122.06
the back up run for that was 11.77 @ 122.7.
I was getting no detonation yet and the plugs looked good so I went to 28* total.
This is when the clutch decided that it was going to start slipping so I packed it up and went home.
I did try giving it some full 3rd gear passes on the way home still not a hint of detonation. I wish the clutch would have held at the track to get the results, but I am happy with it.
Ian video taped all the runs so they will be available soon. There was also a little incar vid that will show the boost gauge and tach together so you can get an idea of how fast the boost comes on.

How much for the pulley Chuck???
-
Sean,
The pulley retail's for 95.00 but I didnt pay that, call and ask Kelly see what kind of a deal he will give you.

Ya think I can get away with telling him mine didn't come with a blower pulley or would the fact that it's a 6-rib give away the fact that I've had the blower a while.
You running a powerpipe of any kind?
-
Well the fact you just posted that on a site he can read, you are already in trouble :D
Ian

Nah, he's not allowed to come here, lol. Instant termination.
