On my particular setup I'm attempting to put together in the next year: '93 stock shortblock w/ no more than 10 lbs of boost through a V-1 S. Are 36 # injectors w/ no FMU ok?

You'll probably are going to need the FMU.
I have or had a stock block with 8 lbs and I have 36lb Injectors and no FMU and it is fine
I have a friend that went 10.70s with around 13 lbs through an S Trim wth 30 lb injectors with no FMU, but he blew head gaskets twice, I figured with about 10 lbs on 36s it'd be alright, just seeing if people have had similar setups or have known anyone to do that.. Thanks for the input!
I am running about 9 or 10 psi with 36's. My car just dynoed at 430hp/409ft#. Started leaning out at 5600 rpm's. No FMU.....
Leaning out at 5,600 like, to a dangerous point? My '93 has hyper pistons, and I'm trying to run it on the safe side, but at the same time I want to try and avoid the "inconsistency" of an FMU.. are they sufficient enough for you?
WIDEBAND DYNO TUNE. lol don't guess.
If I were in your shoes I would try it but it would be tested on a dyno if you don't like changing headgaskets.
I am running 30s with no FMU at around 380RWHP.
Thanks for the advice!
Steve's right, you will need to put it on the dyno with a wideband. Every car is going to react a little different with respect to fuel needs.
Before I put it on the dyno with a wideband, I was shifting at 6,000 rpm's. I was shifting on borrowed time. At 5,200 my air fuel started pointing up at about a 40 degree angle. It stayed at about 11.5 all the across then crossed over 12 by 5600. By 6,000 it was around 12.7. So to answer your question, not super dangerous, but enough to lower my shift points until I address the fuel issue. I will post the dyno as soon as I can.Quote:

Been down that road:)Quote:

I am set at 42psi on fuel regulator, and 36lb injectors and wide band says 12.6 a/f at 6000 in 2nd gear or was it 3rd I forget
I would say that you will have enough fuel. Here is my dyno sheet when my car was running with 36's and no FMU. Novi 2K, AFR165 heads, track heat intake, stock cam and shortblock. Pump gas. I ran a Walbro intank with a boost a pump and I had no problems. And these numbers are through an AOD no less.Quote:

Like I said, every car will react a little different. Check it to be sure!! I am also running a Walbro with the Boost a Pump. Didn't matter, I was running out of injector and/or pegging the mass air.
I see, it's nice to see what others have experienced with similar setups. Thanks for the input, I found an in-town S-Trim kit for $1000 I'm looking at tonight, and some heads should be on the way shortly. Now just have to get the remaining fuel system stuff and get it all together.
sweet! sounds like a budget rocket!
heh, yep!
