Belt tension??

How tight should I tighten my supercharger belt? 89 5.0 s-trim 8 rib Can you tighten it too much?

If its the same as on the 94/95s, Vortech tech support says if the belt is tensioned properly you can only twist it about 1/4 in either direction.
