Progress - slow, but progress

marching forward towards the GTs destiny with the Powerglide. Here's a few more of the highlights:

1) The gaping hole from the 5-speed is covered. Pay close attention to the bolts that used to fasten the console support brace (at the top of my "patch"). I almost cut these off...

2) I needed something solid to mount the shifter to. Here's another "homemade" solution. Notice what happened to the existing console mounting bolts. Not too bad, eh?

3) Here's the new shifter. I still need to drill the holes and get it mounted, but you get the idea...
