Shred'ed my first belt...
Been driving it a lot and its felt pretty good, although it seems to lose a little power when it gets hot - been wondering if the belt was slipping, as I could smell a little something every once in a while...
Anyways, today I got on it in first, which I rarely do and the car torqued pretty hard, then I heard some belt thrashing :( It had moved forward one notch on the crank pulley and that front part of the belt (that would have been hanging off the front of the crank) was shredded.
Do you think it was just from flexing, or do I have an alignment issue? Making between 12-13lbs on a 93 w/ t-trim w/ renegade crank.
