38 lb lucas and 77 pro m caliberated, good buy?

My local buddy is running way to rich with this set up and wants to sell them to me for 300$, for the injectors and mass air meter. This is hard to pass up, especially when Im looking for 42s but hate sending $ for a unknown product. Im really interested and more then likely going to buy them today. What do you guys think? 300$ is a steal, especially with the injectors being 30 miles old and the meter was caliberated when the injectors went in, anyone ?
