Fuel problem?

Heres my set up...
89 mustang gt
stock engine
sn93
fmu

I just installed today
perf. products intake
70mm tb
70 mm egr spacer
36# disc type injectors
77m pro-m mass air calibtrated for 36#

It seems the car car has gotton alot slower. After some searches I found I should look at the following ?????Something is wrong...

DItch the FMU
Purchase adjustable regulator / set at 45#
Check timing / should be at 10 btdc?
upgrade fuel pump to a 255gph
Check afr...
Also adding equal ;length shorty header and h pipe this week.

Is this accurate??? Anything else/A tuning system will come shortly...Is my problem one of the above??

One more question---do i need a adjustable regulator that goes on the fuel rail or mounted ??? If mounted version , what do I do with the factory rail one??

1. Ditch FMU (Way to RICH)
2. Leave Fuel pressure at 38psi at idle with hose off.
3. You don't need adjustable unit, but if you want one you will get one that replaces the stock unit.
4. To get performance at low boost rpms get a tuning device that uses a MAP sensor, then you can raise your timing back up to 14 degrees and get all your snap back.
5. Check your plugs now because they might be fowled.

Thank you. I ordered a bbk adjustable regulator and 255gph pump today from Summitt. I will have them tommarrow.

I will change the plugs as well...what do you use?

use autolite A24 and gap them between 32-35 and get your self a MSD 6AL or 6BTM some thing else to up your spark output. A btm is good to have for about 6-7psi and up of boost. A little insurance doesn't hurt. Good luck!
