I pegged my 80mm Pro-M a few months back and was on the hunt for a "better" meter. I was wondering what you guys ran and how you liked it. My Pro-M was great for me under 550rw, once I started to make power beyond that my tuner always complained.
I did alotta homework and since I run a SCT chip I went with the SCT BA2800.

Im running a Lightning meter right from Ford. They work great and theyre actually cheap!

The only thing that was pegged at my last visit to the dyno was my fuel system. I will ask my tuner about this and see if I need to upgrade, but as far as I know, this wasnt my barrier.
What injectors do you need to run the lightning meter again?
Im running 42s now, but Im checking to see if my dyno wizard thinks the Lightning one is going to give me problems with the 60s. Ill let you know as soon as I know.
Note: The LMAF is not calibrated for a given injector size....the calibration is done in the EEC itself through programming such as a chip or Tweecer.Quote:

Ok, I have a C&L 80mm with FMS 42lb injectors now but I tune with a PMS and an LM1. Would there be any problem going to a lightning meter for me?

Yes...you still need a chip to make a LMAF work. The PMS does not have the ability to do the job as it can't alter MAF transfer function....it can only trim the fuel curve by a limited percentage + or -. Even the current gen PMS with it's Global Fuel adjustment does not have the capacity to make a LMAF work.Quote:
