fmu recalibration
i have a 92 lx convertable. it has the stock bottom end and cam,a set of brodix st50 heads, a trick flow street intake, 1.7 rockers, 75mm mass air, 70mm throttle body and spacer, and 30#injectors.my fmu is calibrated for 19# injectors and i want to change the calibration for the 30# injectors. withit hooked up it is a rich runnin pig and without it i'm afraid(kind of) of going to lean. any help i can get is greatly appreciated.

Get a 6:1 fmu disc. Or better yet get a Cartech FMU :)

I'm wondering the same thing i am running 30's on a 19 FMU I was going to just get a cal for 24's and leave it at that??
-
thank you. i want to get 42# injectors but can't afford them right now, that and my pride and joy needs a new top before summerr
-
I ordered my cal for 24's today so when I get it installed I let you know how it works.

I got my 24 cal today for my FMU it works great but I'm tempted to check out the 30 cal but it says for 30 to 36 lb injectors that's a wide margin???
-
well iguess it is time to get it ordered and get it ready for spring

What's your ET's with a AOD my where 12.23 and 4.10's before I converted
-
you may already know.....but if you are using an 8:1 on 30# inj's
you are still going to run rich under boost.for each # of boost you w/b raising the fp 8#'s instead of 6, which is the proper calibration for your inj's.even if you had 6:1 it is set up on the conservative(RICH)side.

using a 24" tall radial and the sway bar in place timing set at 8*with 1 degree retard and the fmu unhooked and plugs that are a couple heat ranges on the cold side on a 90*+ day the best time was 13.07 @ 109. want some 26" tall et streets
-
That's a good time, About the ET's I'm not really inrested but I will keep them in mind. I may try the 30 cal do you want to buy the 24 cal for the FMU??
