850 cfm I good for a lot of power, well over 500 no? What are the down sides to running the 2k, hows the efficiency of the 2k at lower boost levels/ response at lower rpms?

Also what about the parrasetic losses between the two, I would imagine that the 2k has a greater loss from the larger compressor wheel?
Your goal can be accomplished and then some using the 1000 however if you have the money i'd get a 2000.
eg. I'm making 118.5 MPH look in my signature and use the link at the bottom to see exactly what I'v got done.
Hey Slowhatch, UNTCHBL was selling his 2k and alot of extras for 2500 no mor no less :) He said he was going to keep it now, but you could still ask maybe he changed his mind......
novi2000 with around 50miles on it

Thanks, but im not 100 percent sure this is the route for me. Im still researching it and feeling it out. I know that this is novipower but does anyone have anything good or bad to say about the vortechs? How do they compare performance wise and quality wise? What do you get for your money?
mheinjr- how much boost did you see when you added the Mopheous PowerPipe? 2 or 3.
Well I havent raced it and took it to it's full potential. Plus I have never ran it befor hand... I added everything all at once. As for the amount of boost I am seeing I don't know I havent taken it to WOT to 6,000 so I couldn't tell you I will post after I make my track run in a few weeks. I am waiting for frame connectors... once I make the first pass I will do the suspension mods to it.
Depends, are you comparing the Novi 1000 with the SC trim or are you asking about the S trim?Quote:

I'd say the Novi 1000 is a better deal then the SC trim cause you get the 8 rib set up and aluminum discharge tube all for less money. I believe the SC flows a bit more CFM but I haven't seen anyone with an SC put out any really impressive numbers that would prove them better then the 1K's.
The S trim would be better or make more power then the 1000 but for the price difference it should. Then for the same price as the S trim you can the Novi 2000 which IMO is way better then the S trim.
The S-trim isn't even the same ballpark as the 2000. Renegade cars run on an 8 second index and the S-trim can't even come close. But the Vortech reputation speaks for itself. Ths SC-trim is on par with the novi 1000 except for what sinner said. Yes the 2000 does have a better low end boost response as well as a spanking top end. I plan on upgrading at the end of next year.
sinner- you ran a 12.6 with a 2.1 short time @ 114, and then with the power pipe made 12.5 with a 2.1 @ 118?? did you miss a shift??
