btfed,
the way your belt is routed, don't you think that the supercharger pulley isn't surrounded enough by the belt? And the way it goes from the alternator to crank, aren't you afraid of belt slippage?
-
I used to have another extra idler pulley that made the belt contact the blower pulley much more. I had to remove it so the same belt that I had would fit the larger crank pulley. I plan on getting a longer belt today to fix this, But I got 11lbs all weekend and have not heard any slip at all. Gotta love goodyear gator back belts.
-
can you post the pic with the extra idler pulley? i am curious to see how you did it. thanks.
-
I didnt get a new belt today, I will post a pic tommorow of the extra idler.

extra idler
Here is the extra idler i installed to prevent belt slip. Still only got 11lbs though.
-
is that attached to the SC or the bracket? Looks like the SC.
-
me is thinking of trying it on my car to make belt smaller, get rid of March bracket.
-
Yea it is bolted to the blower itself. The pulley is off a stock ford tensioner.

your not running smog either i take it? you have a pulley there? i like this idea if the belt isn't slipping.
