Current update lol.
I bought a used set of Edelbrock 6929s with loc wire grooves for 700 bucks.
I bought a 1000 mile set of 42lb injectors and a matching ProM chrome bullit, both of those for 300.
Now All I need is a manifold and I think it's going to be a polished Pro Products typhoon RPM manifold.
Also still needed will be a big *** fuel pump.
Yay for me.:D
-
steve, let me know when you order a pump, maybe we can get some body to hook us up.
yaaayy for the new parts too.
-
To start I will probably run a Walbro 255 high pressure intank and see what that does on the wideband dyno.
NITROSTANGRACING in the corral sells those pumps for like 109 which seemed like a decent price.
-
Also gonna make the switch to heads studs for what I feel is a better way to go and I can get them for cheap from the warehouse near me.:)
-
Steve send Jack an e-mail, I am sure he will do it cheaper than $109..
Ian
-
Yeah I emailed him about a ProM for a my buddies 94 GT and he gave us a screamins *** SuperchargerHelp discount. Abouts 25 bucks cheaper than JDs. No offense to JDs either.
LOL Ian PM me about his online catalog.:)

-
thats the pump I want to use, I just want to wire it like the race tronix kit. Just not sure how it's done.
-
I'm not gonna fool with the wiring unless a problem crops up on the dyno.:)
-
hmmm, believe it or not, I've never even given just installing it normally a thought. hell, I'm just getting buy until I do a big fuel system. lol
-
Did you ever figure out what tranny you're going with? I'm gonna run mine exactly as i did last year ( yeah the same converter) and see what happens. I figure with 49 more cubes and a smaller cam it should stall higher. I'm just gonna run this till it craps and order a tranny with a brake from dynamic.
-
No I haven't yet brent but I will have to do something. All this new found power will be useless with a broken transmission.:D
I'll either have a local guy I know rebuild this one with a transking brake and keep my current converter or I'll do the dynamic swap.
As you said in your 351 thread we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.:)
-
Steve, a word of caution on that Typhoon intake. I had a friend that bought one when they first came out, I got a first hand look at it and it was a POS, looked liked it was cast in somebody's backyard in their kids sandbox. He had major fitment issues and finally just returned it. They may have inproved their QC since then as this one was had when they 1st came out, don't really know. You may want to get an updated opinion on them though.
-
I bought ian's and liked it fine. He had cleaned all the flash up, and helicoiled everything. I did manage to cross thread and break one bolt though. For the money steve, just be patient, and find a good deal on somthing similar used.
-
Thanks sean I remember seeing you post that before.
NOMANRZ from that corral has one and he likes it. Runs fast with it as well. 10s at around 130 if I can remember right.
I have seen one in person myself that did not look horrible. I can tollerate a little bit of cleanup for 350 bucks polished but if it's a total POS then yes I will be pissed.:)
