the 108 is a over run cut off valve
the 110 is a bypass valve are they different? can the 108 be used as a bypass valve?
Same thing, either will work. Those import car makers just gotta make a fancy name for it :D
great thanks:D
yeah some saab units were called overrun cutoff valves & some were called charge air bypass valves. the ones on my 300zx twinturbo were called recirculation valves. all the same thing......
heres a link with additional info on the bosch bypass valve: bosch bypass valve
back when i purchased mine i ordered through these guys: express auto parts . i did a search under 2000 saab 9-5 v6 turbo. they have 2 options for the bosch bypass valves. not as good of a deal as the above mentioned but thats what was avail at the time......

Justin, I too bought mine from Express but they have damn near doubled their price since then.
oh really? i didnt realize they upped the prices. they still showed $30 & $50 for the 2 part numbers mentioned above.........
thanx for the better scource!

I paid ~$25 shipped for my 110 unit before they upped the price.
ahhh, thats right, it was a bit cheaper when i purchased mine too.......damn thieves, lol!

will any of these work ? the import car parts site is down....
any input is greatly appreciated...
dave
sorry that link doesnt take u right there... click on 9-5 then a search for bypass...
Import site is back up.
there arent parts that match that number at the import site....
at least for the 108 ...
is this the two types?
C3070-12948 Overrun Cutoff Valve Bosch IN STOCK $70.00 $25.60
C3070-41431 Charge Air Bypass Valve Bosch IN STOCK $70.00 $42.55
plug in this part # for the 108 valve:
0 280 142 108
This part # for the 110 valve:
0 280 142 110
The 108 is more than adequate for boost up to around #10's, the 110 is good for a bit over 15#'s.
There are various names for this part but they all do the same.
I have the stock blowoff valve that came with my Novi 2000 that has never been installed. It is still in the packaging if anybody needs one and wants to make me an offer.
check your PM DAVE..........
Drivewire.com has changed prices, new price for the 110 valve is $51.42 thru this vendor.

I go on the hunt again for a better price.....
I plan on running 12-15lbs of boost. Should I get the 110 or just stick w/ the 108? Also want to make sure the part number on the site (C3070-41430) will work for our kits. I have the Nk1 for a 99 Cobra. Thanks, and keep up the good work.
If you already have the 108, you can give that a go. If not I'd get the 110 unit from the get go.
The part number shown on the site is another common number used for the bypass in Saab applications, I've run across it several times before elsewhere. If you look in the "description" column, it lists the bosch Part # of 0 280 142 110.
holy crappo i could've bought 2 of them for what i paid for mine! thats almost sticky worthy
No kidding, we'll see how long this price lasts. Especially if they figure out what we are using them for :D
It's a sticky under "New Members Here" thread.
I got my bosch 114 or Audi 710N bypass at the local audi dealer for 30 bux.
I just bought 2 110 BOV's from them, and they sent me 103's. I called and when I told them what happened, they said they just realized that they have a data problem, and that the real 110 is $51.00. Right after that, they closed the page that showed all the 110's, and I guess they're going to fix the mistake.
Well crap, I just checked their website & they are still showing the 110 part#, are they going to send you the 110 units at the $27 price???
No. Jerks wont honor the price. i'll bet a ton of people have bought 110's and really have 103's on their car cause they didnt bother to check the number on the BOV.
If you use the link here, you still get to the page with the $27 110 valve.
If you start over on their home page and search for part#0 280 142 110 , you get a new page listing only (1) 110 valve and it's $51.42, man this blows...
I'll edit the link, I don't want anyone else getting the 103 when they want the 110...
Yeah i noticed that the link on this page sent me to the right page. Nice to see they still havent fixed it. I smell a scam.
I do as well, therefore I will lock this thread for the time being.
