I was just curious as to what was the most power someone has made off of a non-intercooled YSi setup. Doesn't matter what motor it was on.
Thanks a lot!

Lordy, is anyone there?
Well, the NMRA REN crowd is up over 1000 easy on Ribbed pulleys and 25+ PSI
I know renegade is making a lot, but where over 1000hp? I heard they are making more like 30-35psi off the YSi's too.Quote:

Have you break the "barrier"?Quote:

Haven't been to the dyno with the blower yet. Still waiting for a pulley to be made by RCD. The motor made 773 HP at 6400 RPM with out the blower, so 1200 is certainly reachable. I'll post the dyno sheet when done.

I hops i can get 1000hp,The engine makes 398hp natruls and i spinn the ysi 67000 and a water I/c
Do you guys think it possibel?
Depending on the induction and any other restrictions I would guess about 650-700 with 14 psi and about 900 with 28-30 psi givin the proper induction of coarse.
I guess if you were using something like methanol for fuel, the lack of intercooler wouldnt be a big deal.
For what its worth, I made 735rwhp on a Dynapack with pretty conservative timing, as the dyno went nuts if I increased it, on regular SUL fuel 97RON with my LS1. equiv to US 93 PON octane. ( I do have an IC though )
Squirting a little methanol on top of that, has improved things greatly, although I havent been on a dyno yet, but I am trapping 143-145mph.
So I'd guess its safe to say I have 800+rwhp now.
Hopefully that will improve with my new intake.
In theory I'm spinning the blower to around 68000rpm at 7000rpm crank, although things are dying a little after 6000rpm.
I'd say it is slipping a little though up there.
it will make 16psi at 6000rpm and almost 20psi at 7000rpm, 382 LS1.
Could make more power with a higher CR and/or race fuel, but I opted for 8.7:1 so I could use pump fuel safely.
I know of one car that only made 760 to the tires ;) with a big blockQuote:

To tell you the truth you are the most I ever heard of. Vortech power baby!
Little late in posting this, but my little YSI made 1182 HP, but more impressively, it made 1142 foot pounds of torque!
What car ? engine ? spec ? fuel ? etcQuote:

WOW!
How fast are you spinning the supercharger?ic?
17psi on a 555 ?????
Im making 19psi at 7000rpm, but thats just haning on to cross the line.
Im on a custom 12-rib setup,, and I dont beleive I am suffering from slippage.
With an 8.5 crank, and a 3.0" blower.....go figure...
Im amazed the YSi can make so much boost, on a huge engine like a 555 !!!!!
On the other hand....
There is a guy running low 8's at 160+ in Australia with a 408ci LSx and they say they are making 12psi spinning 50,000rpm with a cog drive, and they are using a pretty big cam.
When I ran the stock 346LS1 and I was making around 10psi, I was spinning to about 43000rpm.
I dont get it......something doest add up.
I make 30psi at7800rpm,and the supercharger 67000rpm (cog) 3liter(183cui)Quote:

Boost is still linear, hence I dont beleive I am suffering any huge slippage. I must try and rig up something to measure blower speed though, as it would be very interesting to see for sure.
It would also be nice if they made a bigger compressor for a YSi sized blower.
M3R..
Have you had your car out yet with the blower ?? How's it performing ??
I have only drive it on the poblicroad yet,I dont have any numbers yet(horsepower ,stripptime)To the summer i will go for the 8s at the stripp.
How do you like it compared to your last rubo setup ???
I think the power delivery with my YSi is excellent.
I like the supercharger,Its more power now.
r you guys talking rwhp or flywheel???.....our renegade car made over 900 rwhp
at 35 lbs of boost.......went 8.57 @ 161 blowing the tires off w/ a 1.388 60'
Mine was 1182 crankshaft HP with only 17 PSI.Quote:

Although they say its only making 12psi. Even more striking, is that they say they are only spinning 50krpm on the blower..
You guys are also making some power. How fast are you spinning the blower ?
