Are you running drop motor mounts?
i am useing convertable motor mounts
I had to use HP drop solid motor mounts $90. Lowers motor 3/4 inch. Perfect clearance. And I also have 4 in cowl
When you get that bad boy dynoed, give me your details. Also what is your setup. and what pullies.
I have a RR 2.7 for the YSI if your interested, I'm going to the 2.5" The 3" Vortech pulley only gave me 16 psi and would slip a little at 6,000 RPM. The 2.7 held better at even higher RPM's plus mor elike 20psi. I want to switch to the 2.5" for more low end and keep my shift point at 6200 RPM. Not looking for more top end power per say. But it's always good.
...I AM GOING TO HAVE MY CAR TUNED AND DYNOED TOMORROW...WILL I HAVE TO HAVE A CHIP BURNED FOR IT ALSO? I HAVE A 393 STROKER WITH 10 TO 1 COMPRESSION...I DONT KNOW IF THE 3 INCH BLOWER PULLEY AND THE 8 INCH CRANK PULLEY IS THE RIGHT BOOST FOR THE 393 EFI...DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH THE 3 AND 8 INCH PULLEYS PUT OUT? WILL IT BE TO MUCH BOOST FOR MY 10 TO 1 COMPRESSION....THANKS FOR YOUR HELP....CURTISQuote:

10:1 is pretty steep for a blower. With the 8 & 3" pullies I made 16 psi at 6,000 RPM. I have no idea as to what you'll make with that compression. If you could get you compression down around 8.5 or 9 to 1 you should be making in excess of 700 RWHP.Quote:

Give me some info on the car. Also Sriver or pass. side. What type of numbers did you make. What is your timing and do you have the msd BTM?
Thanks
It is a typical NMRA Real Street car. TFS TW heads unported, TFS street heat intake, stock cam, and passenger side Novi 2000. It makes around 560 rwhp. I use an Autologic chip with approximately 27/28 degrees under full boost.
.....i have 42 lb injectors in my 393 stroker engine...how much hp are the 42 lbs good for? thanks, curtisQuote:

My 42's worked with an FMU with about 520 rwhp. I now have 60's
What tranny? If Auto stall coverter? What do your sixty foots look like. Also what size rear slick and gear.Quote:

I had a wledon 2015 pump -10 AN and -08 AN line to the FMU then vortech fuel rails, into 42# injectors and the return had a weldon regulator and -06 AN SS lines. This is a stought fuel system. It supported my s-trim with 13psi and low 500's rwhp. The only change I had to make to suppot my now 20 psi and 67x's rwhp is remove the FMU and add 60# ers.
So a new fuel system may be in order for you. ($$$) However, you may get by with 60's but you may have some idle isuues or start ups with the set up??
The dyno guy will know best. As for fuel, I would tune on 104 or 110. Use the BTM at 3 on the street and run 94 or a mix of 94 and the 104/110. Any track use fill up with the 104/110.
I ran 110 most of the time. Just idles better and less worries of bad gas. And for the extra $2/ gallon, for a $10,000 motor it is woth it. I would ocasionally use 50/50 mix. Just depends.
I have no issues with idling, start up or driving. But I have a good fuel system.
.. I GOT MY 60 LB INJECTORS AND NEW MASS AIR IN TODAY AND IT IS REALY RUNNING RICH...MY FUEL PRESSURE IS SET ON 45 WITH VACUM OFF..I GUESS I NEED TO HAVE A CHIP BURNED TO LEAN IT OUT ON START UP ON BOTTOM END AND CURVE THE FUEL MIXTURE TO RUN RICHER ON TOP END...THE DYNO GUY CANT TUNE IT FOR TWO WEEKS...I WAS WANTING TO DRIVE IT NEXT WEEK AROUND TOWN....BUT I DONT WANT TO FOUL OUT THE PLUGS...DOES IT HAVE TO RUN A WHILE FOR THE STOCK COMPUTOR TO ADJUST IT SOME? OR CAN I TURN THE FUEL PRESSURE DOWN TO HELP IT FROM RUNNING SO RICH..GOT ANY HELP...393 STROKER WITH 10 LB OF BOOST...THANKS, CURTIS MY E-MAIL IS CURTIS@INETGENESIS.COMQuote:

Blownby, Don't forget Lido tricks the computer to think it has 60 Ib injectors. He likes the mass air meter to be cal. with 42's,so he can tune the drivablity for the street.Quote:
