WTF did you do with your serpentine system to make it work? Nobody seems to make an idler pulley/bracket setup to take the place of the 86-93 P/S pump.

Wait a minute, I think march makes one.
I think the best way I've seen is to re-mount the alt to the driver's side. I believe that that a stock bracket off a crown vic does this this. Pull a search on the Corral, I think that's where I ran across a pretty expansive thread.
80's 302 lincoln town cars. The beauty of this is that it can work on a 302 or a 351. You have to make a spacer where the PS bracket mounted beneth it, or you can just cut the PS bracket up and use it.
Brent's the man, better memory then me :D
Not really but i can get used to hearing that LOL :pQuote:

Got any pics?
look at the pic of what I did in the thread asking for novi2000 pics.
I made a bracket, but same idea as brent's setup.

Great setup guys, is there any cooling issues at all, and is there any belt slippage on the water pump?
I never had any cooling issues due to belt slippage. My thorn was the stock rad which i had problems long before I did the swap.
I belive that I will do the same setup this week, thanks for the reply
On that note, if your not gonna use the whole lincoln setup, you have fab up a or cut the PS bracket from the town car. i just made a spacer and it works great.
thanks for the helpful info, what is the serpentine belt length from the crank to the alt? I just got a lincon alt bracket today, It feels good to remove so excess weight from the front end too.
Well i had the 8" crank on there so it was for underdrives. I believe it was 34.5" so you may have to add a few inches.
thanks for the info and the reply, I got the bracket yesterday and started removing the accessories that I don't need, I love the new look and the accesibility to the whole motor w/o having to take everything off, and no more prolbems with alinging the serpentine belt setup. thanks for all the help!
