We have a local racer, Bob, who has a S-Trim on a 302 R block based stroker, Vic Jr heads, Victor intake, 6800RPM, S-Trim @ 12lbs. He just ran 9.79 @ 137 today!
Just want to see if there is anyone out there as fast or faster.
Ohh and naturally he uses SCH Racing Products :D

Brent - he uses a Lentech trans, 4K on the brake, 28X10.5 ET Drags, 1.39 60ft.
Sean - yes sir! He moves! On one pass he had 5lbs crossing the line and ran 10.0!

You know for one fading second i thought myself "Boy if my 351 runs like that on 12psi I won't even have to change pullies." :rolleyes:

I'd like to know how he gets 12psi out of it. My s-trim will only do 9-10 and I have a 2.95 pulley. What is his comp ratio?
Forced: He is 8.5:1, he uses a 8" crank and 3.10 on the blower that time out. The slip is not bad with the tensioner system cranked down on it :)

I'm 8.5 too I tried the 8" crank pulley and the belt was hitting my water pump pulley. I had to take it off and use the stock 7".
Yes when using the 8" you need to use a longer belt and use the tensioner to get it away from the water pump pulley.

The stock vortech tensioner?
He did use that for sometime, but now he is using my system.

Ian I've been looking at your system with some interest maybe you can answer a few question. What benifits exactly does your system give over the stock brackets? I realize tensioning of course if far easier but besides that what? I really like the looks and beefiness of your brackets but $300 is a lot for some metal plates. I'm just curious what benifits we get with it.Quote:

well mine hasn't hit the 10's yet cause I haven't even been to the 1/4 lately since some changes. But it should do mid to low 10's now.
but mine has ran a 6.67@106 with 1.6 60ft in the 1/8. I don't think thats to bad with 11psi. With a looser converter it should go 6.5's, my thinking and thats what alot of other people have told me to.

We went back up this past weekend and he ran a 9.8 @ 136. This coming weekend is our local Mustang shootout. We will have vids and pics of this awesome S-Trim powered car!

what cam is he running to turn 6800 rpm?also, how heavy is the car?

It is a solid roller setup, the cam is very small I think in the 612 lift range. As for the weight I am not sure but I will check on it. Last I checked I think it was 3190??

that thing runs good. did he ever have it dynoed?
He did mention getting some numbers soon but for now it runs so strong I do not think he has to worry :)
I would really like to see a 9.6X this weekend but we will have to see :)
