ian, question for you.

what is there two different size pieces for the 8 rib and cog tensioner.
i know the length is different but is the piece that is back of the tensioner supposed to be different also.

is there any way to make the hex bolt go down further so i can accomadate smaller cog pulley. it seems when i have the tensioner all the way down that the cog belt is still loose and the lower part of the belt hits on the bottom of the tensioner?

also when i have the cog system on, i have lost 3 belts now. one shredded the cogs off and the other two have walked off the pulleys. this is only happening at wide open throttle on the strip.
it really looks like the tensioner is slightly forward and makes the belt look off a little.

Ken,

The stand off, or axle as I call it, are different in both ways when comparing 8 rib and cog. Are you sure you are using the cog spacer with cog and the 8 rib spacer with 8 rib?

As for the bolt going down more, you mean make the slot in the plate longer?

the cog spacer is shorter right, that is what you wrote on the spacer.

i will take a pic and email it to you when i can.
