Don't just drop it at a certain RPM... with DR's, you will have to feather it and play with it to get optimal traction. It's all about traction for that E/T, so the better you hook, the better the times will be. Stage deep too... that should help a tad.
-
yeah, i know what you mean. i have been feathering it out, i just use those rpm's as a starting point. hope i get it figured out, cause we are going to Bowling Green for the NMRA World finals to race.

Practice makes perfect! Keep running... you'll get better and better. Good luck with it and keep us posted with your newest times!

For the "track length impaired" what's your 1/8 ET and MPH? 60' times? Where is your Universal meter mounted? It looks like it would be pretty tight if I tried to mount one before the TB on mine. Thanks.
-
My Univer (not universal) meter was real tight to get it to fit... I ended up having to flip it up side down (there is no such thing as having to have it clocked... thanx to the Univer's design) in order to clear my hood. It looks better that way too because you don't see the electronics. Ken, take some pictures, I'd like to see how it ended up too.

new best time @ NMRA Bowling Green World Finals -
.52 R/T
1.91 60'
1/8 mile was 91 mph
12.001 @123mph
running on 17" BFG Drag Radials with 15psi
with slicks and traction, this car will FLY!!!!!!!
will get you some pics of the univer- it is tight but it fits right against the end of the 75mm T/B . i have a cowl hood so i don't have a clearance problem.

kobra94,
Too bad I didnt know you were going to be at Bowling Green, I could have saved you the time to take pictures and gotten to see your car in person. (of course if I had read your post above more closely I would have known) Oh well, I look forward to the pictures. Were are you from? I'm in West AL.
-
yeah, i was there running in open comp. car wasn't legal for anything but drag radial, and i really don't want to go that fast (yet). I am in southern Indiana. will take the pics over the weekend for you. Ken
