im looking at a d1X and wanted to know what the X is for.how much boost can it make and how much hp it can support on a built 347 . it does have 3 core intercooler, cog setup.it has a valve like this whats it for and is it good thanks

The "X" meant is was for a Mustang. Great blower, comparable to an F1C.
That valve in the picture is the surge valve for protecting the compressor. If you get above 18-20 lbs of boost, I'd recommend upgrading to a Race Bypass Valve.
