novi 2000 anatomy
Hello and thank you for reading this. Im grateful to have a supercharger site like this to post my questions.
Ok, I picked up a NOVI 2000 which had been disassembled by Paxton. As the story goes, the previous owner sent it in for inspection and repair quote. When the quote came back, he decided not to rebuild. According to his reports, it had developed an oil leak and for this reason he sent it in.
The unit was then returned to him and subsequently he put it up for sale some time after and that’s where I come in. I love stuff like this.
Any ways, I have a pile of parts and would like to find some sort of exploded parts diagram of the unit. I’m going to replace the seals and bearings and put it all back together as a learning experience and post my lessons learnt.
I've read lots on the subject and found some good posts with part numbers and such.
What i would like to find is clearance data for shimming/checking. Torque specs, and whatever else anyone can offer to this endeavor. SO, please share what you know and maybe we can put together a concise rebuild thread.
Here are some pictures I just took.

Not knowing much about the eternals bud there are two types, the older and the newer style, somehow I keep reading that Paxton does not rebuild the older style.
So look around on this Novi 200 forum and check your serialnumber to find out what you have.
Here is some good info of someone who did it before: http://forums.corral.net/forums/show...light=bearings

You can start searching, I think I made a post awhile back before I stopped becoming as active about what seals you could use etc. that I had collected over the years. Start there if you need seals. As mentioned though, keep in mind that there are variations of the Novi 2000, and this is information I collected through various sites. There is a PDF file out there somewhere that documents a rebuild also. Search here for it.

I don't know what you've found yet, but there's an exploded parts diagram at the end of this pdf. http://www.paxtonauto.com/download.p...le=4809610.pdf
