New guy checking in. 6-71 blown foxbody

What's up guys? New guy checking in from Texas. I've got a 91 mustang with a home built 6-71 blower and manifold. This is my first experience with these blowers but I'm looking forward to driving the beast. I only lack the snout and idler pulley to get it running. It's taken me 6 months to get to this point including rebuild/conversion of the blower, smoothing the case for powder coating, fabricating the blower manifold, etc.

Haha. That carb is from when I was still N/A on the spray. It's a Holley 650 worked over by me, flows 742cfm. Anyway, I'm only going to run a single carb, just as effective as two but less hassle tuning. With my plenum design I highly doubt I willhave any fuel distribution problems with a single carb. A Holley 4150 1050cfm still sitting in the box. I've got to mod the metering blocks and boost reference the primary power valve before I install it.

did you machine your own base for the blower?
what intake did you attach it to, did you modify the intake also??

Yea, I machined a blower base out of 1.5" thick 7075-t7 aluminum. It's attached to a highly modified victor jr intake manifold via grade 8 studs and welded around the perimeter. The manifold design isn't ideal for maximum horsepower but the manifold is a cheap alternative to buying one given the fact that I have a 351w block build underway. That would be wasted money to buy 2 separate manifolds. Only cost me $100 to build, and that was the cost of the aluminum. I don't believe fueldistribution will be a problem, but fuel puddling may be which is why the recessed portion of the manifold is at a slight slope toward the center achieved with a die grinder. :) if fuel puddling occours I'm not to worried, I've integrated a home made backfire valve into the manifold.
