    Paxton Draw

Hi, I bought a SN 60 and a SN 89, but some parts are missing, I would like to find some drawings about these SC? Who could help me?
I have a strange pressure plate with springs: SN 60 or SN 89?

    Many thanks

    Régis

Here's the only assembly drawing I've ever seen for the SN series superchargers:

That flange is not from an SN89. I have an SN89 the flange on it is very different versus the one you've shown.

Unfortunately, I don't have any other images or drawings of the old SN series superchargers.

I'd suggest rummaging around the site here (use the search function) to see if you can find any threads showing that type of flange. If not, then I'd consider contacting Craig Conley @ Paradise Wheels (his contact info is in a sticky at the top of the SN forum section) to see if he can help you. He's holds the rights to all these old ball-drive Paxton superchargers.

The SN-60 uses that plate with spring pack instead of shims to maintain tension on the ball drive. The exploded diagram you seek is in a Studebaker Service manual for the 63-64 Avanti, it has an exploded diagram for the paxton. I had one on a computer (maybe 3 computers ago), long gone. Don't have access to the book either.

Here is a blow apart diagram of a VS-57 predecessor to the SN-60. A SN-60 is essentially a VS-57 without the variable pulley and smaller nose (I believe this is where the SN designation comes from- short nose). Ignore the front section with the step up solenoid. From about #32 back is the same as a SN-60.

Nimesh Solanki might have the diagram too.

Thanks guys for your answer, it seems that I have the part with the numbers: 61 to 64 on this diagram.
And this part is not on a SN normal model right?
I have the place for the solenoid too.20130509_094919.jpg20130509_094614.jpg

Looks like a SN-60. The SN-60 has a 32K redline vs. 38K for the other blowers. The part 61-64 are for the VS-57 and SN-60 only. The SN-89, SN-92, SN-93 and SN-2000 use shims to set the ball drive tension versus the spring pack.

Do you know what the difference is, that the redline determines to 32k (SN60) versus 38k or 44k (newer units linke SN 2000)?

I believe its is the ballcarier. the first type is aluminum and the newer type is brass.
