    B&M 174 puuleys and belts....AND!

Hi to all and apologies for not visiting often

Im in process of swapping over the running gear from my 1982 302 Ford mustang to a 1990 body being as the poor 82 isn't held together very well and the 90 roller is fully sorted

Atop the 302 lives my B&M 174 which has done well over the past couple of years but Im now toying with idea of increasing the boost a notch

problem is that I can find a good source of expert supply for pulleys and belts needed.....assuming that weiand 174 would work so is weiand my only route for parts

Other US blower specialists repairers don't advertise stock...and to top it off Im in the UK which makes sourcing and getting even more of a pain

Any help out there would be appreciated....

Im even considering getting them machined

The AND part is that I also picked up an unused weiand 177 (amazingly in UK) for a DZ302 chevy project which ive decided to leave as is.....but as the snout is wrong side for a ford I was wondering if it were possible to fit simply flip the snout and rotors over.....I would be able to work this out myself but Im overseas and cant remember what the set up is

    all good advice appreciated

    Dave

there are parts still available for those from holley/weiand and they will work. larger & smaller driven pulleys and also crank pulleys. 6 rib and 10 rib are available, as im sure you know this? stick with 10 rib which is better for more boost. look around on ebay, parts pop up every now and then.

this of course is the ford 174 supercharger kit:

here is a part list for driven pulleys, or "snout" pulleys if you will.

i think if i remember correctly, if you have a 6" crank pulley and a 3.5 driven pulley you should be around 6 or 7 lbs of boost. a smaller driven pulley will yield more boost, there is a 2.66" upper pulley available.

you can plug all these part numbers in on summit racings website for better pricing.

    i hope this helps...
