    Carnage

    Engine is a SBC 355 with 9.1 Compression,671 Weiand blower running 8LBS Boost on 93 octane fuel.2 600 dp supercharger carbs,Matching Comp cams blower cam.Sealed Power pistons with gapless rings.Less than 900 miles on these rings.All 8 pistons are paper weights.

    detonation?? what timing were you running

    or lean condition? what fuel system components and pressure was the regulator set for??

    that looks ugly... did it damage the head/valves/cylinder walls???

    Only damage was the pistons.
    The timing was at 24 degrees with advance locked out.Fuel system is Mechanical edelbrock running 6.5 PSI

    ok it still appears to be a lean condition or detonation??
    I would have the rods checked for bent/deformed spec's that detonation hammering can cause, before attempting to reuse the rods with new pistons
    the bearings rods and mains look fine ???

    Everything looks fine.What I cant understand is there was no sign of metal shavings or chunks inside the cylinders.The heads will hold fluid without leaking around the valves.
