I can not get the caps that cover the 6 bolts behind the pulley off. Trying to pull the face plate off this sn93 and I can only get them to spin. What's the trick?
Those things are held in with o rings. I won't be able to re use mine but the way I got them off was I chiseled the tit off the cap and then drove a small flat head screwdriver into the hole from the tit coming off. Turn the screwdriver 1/4 turn and the blade should be under the closed part of the hole (where the flat head did not go thru). The pull the screwdriver up, cap pops out. I figured the caps to be more sacrificial than the housing.
