    YS and stock hood

Anybody have any clearance issues with their YS and the stock hood? Mine is hitting in two places, the blower and the blower inlet tube. Seriously thinking about a cowl or cobra R hood.

What engine mounts are you using?? Some aftermarket units are taller than stock and can cause this problem.

    hood...

Before you buy another hood be sure to look at where the interference on your stock hood.

I had and s-trim and t-trim (passenger-side mount) and the head units touched a part of the hood, cracking the paint. This was a Harwood 2.5" cowl, but the interference was on the "flat" portion of the hood between the raised cowl and the outside edge of the hood, so in this instance the stock hood or a cowl hood would have had interference. At the time I was using Moroso solid motor mounts.

The hood support on the passenger side of the hood is hitting in two places. I tried "massaging" the areas with a hammer, but it still hits. I guess I could cut the support out?

I have a 1.5" Mach I rise hood, and the S trim fit real snuggly, but the YS hit it pretty good (spider crack the paint right at the scoop opening at the pass side). Dang.

So far my Cervinis Cobra R hood clears my YS.
