If anybody ever wants to know

I've got a friend that had a 2.95 10 rib pulley for a Novi 2k. He never put it on his car. I was over at his house a couple of weeks ago and he offered to let me try it. I wanted to see how much boost it would give me. I installed it on the car, turned the timing down to 6 degress, turned the fuel pressure up to 55psi at idle w/vacuum off(I know its high, I wanted to be safe) dumped in 6 gallons of C16 and went for a test drive. At 5600rpm it was at 18psi!!!!Yikes. This is a totally stock, all original bottom end. It didn't detonate. Man did it feel FAST. I got into it from a roll at about 40 mph. I still had the 28X10.50X15 ET drags on the car fom the track on Friday. The car actually hooked and it felt like the front end was gonna come off of the ground. I'll say it again, MAN THIS CAR FELT FAST!!!!! I didn't spin it any harder and I only got on it twice. I can't wait to put my A4 block 331 in the car and feel how fast the car will be. I guess I finally gotta put a cage in it:D .

The only thing crazier than that is 18 pounds on the stock bottom end. and it not blowing up Maybe if I throw a little nitrous at it? That way I can have my wife drive it to the store or someplace and blame her for the blown up motor;) I know, I know, That's mean:D
