main bearing & seperate drive units?
im curious to hear if anyone running a seperate drive setup has had any main bearing problems since the pulley further out places more stress on the main bearing...........just curious to hear the horror stories & how common it really is! should i worry, or is it a rare problem?
thanx

I would not worry at all. There are some very fast cars out there with no problems.
I would invest in a nice balancer when you go to 10 +.

No horror stories, other than some Fluidampers (and Fluidampers only) breaking due to added axial load. In general it will slightly accelerate bearing wear on the front main due to the added load but nothing approaching any kind of horror story.
