    K-Member question

Can a tubular K-Member be utilized with stock A-arms, springs & struts? I'd like to get more clearance for headers and lose a little weight but don't exactly want to go to a coil-over set-up nor can afford a complete systen right now.

Any issues that I should be away of if this will work??

I' pretty sure you can, just make sure you get one with spring mounts.

I ran a PA k-member with stock A arms and coil springs last season in Real Street. I also believe PA makes tubular A arms with a spring perch that allow you to run a stock style coil spring.

I just put in an AJE setup and I am pretty sure they also have the same stuff. I would give them a call.

I think just about anyone who makes a K kit, has many options.

I run a complete D&D setup, with coil overs, a-arms and cc plates. They have an option for stock springs, but you have to wait long for that K member (back order)

IMHO I would save up and do the complete kit.

I may have a deal going on an installed but never run Ground pounder k-member for $200. This seems like a decent deal to me, but I'm just wanting to do a bit of research.

I have found that when installing k-members, you get what you pay for. My first k-member I went the cheap route with a HAL. It was nothing but problems.

I let the deal go, just couldn't get much info & he indicated there were people lined up for it. I'll wait until I can do the whole deal.

Just remember guys if you are a quarter miler there isn't a coilover setup on earth that just bolts into a mustang that will weight transfer like stock coil springs.

I chose the QA1 and it works great for what I do and I run coil springs and FRPP replacement control arms.

    im doing it right now

you might want to trim a tiny bit off the k-member side of the control arms so you can be sure they'll drop out of the way enough to install the springs again.. i had to do this to fit my c-springs & new polyurethane isolators
