    Got my Novi, quick question..

    I got my Novi I was looking through all o the parts and the install directions and I didn't see this thing in the install notes nor did I see it in any of the engine pictures on this site.

    What is the black piece of plastic "it looks like a cover or a shroud" it has a air fitting screwed into the side of it, and it has a Paxton sticker on it.

    I'm sure someone knows what it is!

    The plastic piece is to cover the air filter and help minimize fan wash, the brass fitting attaches to the supplied vacuum line with the small filter and then attaches to the pass side valvecover, replacing the line that used to run from the valvecover to the throttle body. You'll have to cap off the nipple on the throttle body.

    Brows thru the pics on here and I'm sure that you'll find a pic that shows it installed.
