New Novi 1000 Partial Install !!HERE!!

Here is a picture of the new Novi 1000 Installed in my Car.

There really isn't much left to finish installing it, but I need to find out how to hook the stock tensioner to the bracket. Make a custom bracket for the alternator etc, tap oil pan etc... few little things

Hey Ian. Do you have to make a alternator bracket? You've got me worried!
89 Coupe with parts stacked inside of it and about 30#'s of dust on it with no end in sight. :weird:

    Although I am collecting parts for a 12.5:1 393 :D

Thanks Ian, but I know I will need to dissconnect the hose from the throttle body "I read that in here, it will blow it out". Now the tensioner I still don't know how it bolts up. The stock bracket is huge and someone said it is square "which it's not". The bolt is huge and there is no other bolts to it. So how do I hook it up???

    Thanks

regattacoupe: The alternator bolts to the main bracket - no custom pieces needed.

Mark: I have not seen the kit in person so I cannot say for sure, but have a look at this NOVI 2K setup (it should be close)

I have no heater or smog setup. I am almost finished because I can bypass two steps right there! Hehe ;)

Only have to tap the pan and install the oil lines and we're in business! :)

the bracket for the tensioner is square, with an ear on the bottom right that bolts on the stud on the water pump. The bracket has two holes on the left (top and bottom), one in the middle for the stock tensioner, and the aft mentioned stud hole. The bracket mounts behind the two left most upper holes in the blower plate.

Coupe: would u be able to get a picture? I'll get a picture of my old bracket it doesn't sound at all like the one you have. Mine was a big bracket that was hooked to the head.

Mike, yes, my car had the hose still on...when I took the pic, I had a wierd situation where I had low vacuum without that there, so I had it on. I have since taken that off and corrected the problem.
