    here's the combo
    dss pro 306, windsor jr heads unported 1.6 rollers, e303 cam, cobra intake with fully ported lower, 42lb'ers, Novi 1000 with 8inch ASP crank and Anderson powerpipe.65mm TB, 80MM mass air, full MSD, FMS shorties, Mac offroad and Mac dumps. 373 gears w/tremec.

    what do you think i can pump outta this thing at my FORDCHIP.COM dyno session?
    it's May 16,17th, and i am hoping to blast off something good!

    I am gonna say around 430.

    Gotta remember my numbers were through a C4 trans so I was very close to 400 would it have been in a stick car.;)

    You'll love the 8" crank pulley! :D IMO ditch the 65mm throttle body for a 70MM. <---------------

    I'll say you will break the 500 mark :D I don't know where but I think it will be broken with a good tune! with a safe tune very high 400hp range!

    i was thinking of a bigger throttle body, but was also told it wasn't that big of deal.

    running your old pulley, am i going to have problems between it and the cobra WP pulley? i know you said you shaved yours down 0.10. whatta ya think?

    As I mentioned previously that I had shaved the 8" crank pulley to clear the cobra water pump pulley, you should not have ANY clearance issues. I didn't, I don't expect you should either.

    However if you have to replace the belt you WILL have to take the cobra water pump pulley off, otherwise the belt won't clear off the crank pulley and water pump pulley. That is how tight it is.

    If you look at the crank pulley's outter lips you will noticed they are not black colored as the rest of the pulley, and are a silverish color since they were machined down which I had done to for clearance issues between the crank and water pump pulley.

    Please note that I did use the cobra water pump pulley and no aftermarket brand pulley. It worked fine on my setup with the 8" crank pulley.

    It is a big deal actually. If you have a 70mm on hand try it out.

    You will notice that the car will pull harder and seem to want to keep pulling even more in third gear on up versus a 65mm TB. I had a 65MM with long tubes with the Novi-1000 for a little while and it felt okay and such on low end, but felt SLUGGISH in mid to top end compared to having a 70MM throttle body which I ended going with after noticing the difference.

    Especially on a supercharged car. Regardless of its 5 mm difference the 70MM still flows a higher cfm than a 65 MM TB. 65mm TB is a good all motor type throttle body. Whereas in my trial and error experiences I have learned a 70MM is definately a must with a forced induction car, especially with the newly founded boost your application will produce.

    Remember it is approximately 13hp for every pound of boost in a perfect world.

    You gonna be running race gas in that bad boy?

    The way that I see it you would be making around 280 or maybe a little more NA. Now we add say 13 pounds of boost to that combo and we are up to 169+280=449. If you can pull it all off then that is very respectable power for the combo.:)

    I am thinking of a larger crank pulley myself if I need it to get into the 11s on 17" tires. I don't think I would go any bigger than a 7.5 incher myself.

    yeah it's a race gas car from now on. i don't street drive it anymore. if i can put down 430 to the wheels, i am going to be really happy with it. it is a pretty mild combo, and i know i have much room to grow.
