How much boost is to much

I have a stock short block, aluminum TF heads (9:1 compression), I plan on seeing around 13psi is this ok for 93 octane and regular street duty? I plan on running 22^ of timming and the spout pulled and probably 45psi of fuel pressure with 42# injectors and no FMU. Does this sound like a safe inital tune tell I can get a custom chip made, I will probably put it on a dyno with a wide band O2 right off the bat and fine tune it, then when I get a chance have fordchips.com do a tune for me.

With 13psi you should be fine,, but you will be pushing the threshold of the stock bottom end,,,,,Bee

13psi on pump gas is fine. I am pushing 15psi and making 540 to the wheels. I have 42's, stock lines/rails, and an fmu. I'm sure you can get away with no fmu. I have a pms on the car now, but for over a year i had the car with all the stock electronics.

What are you doing as far as a fuel pump, I plan on running a 255lph high pressure (GSS340). I keep being told this is enough fuel pump by itself. What do you guys think?

255 by itself should be fine. I run it and the T-rex inline.

Too much boost is when the block cracks. I was running a Kenne Bell with 12 lbs of boost and split the block right down the middle and my block only had 33000 miles on it. But, I have seen stock bottom end hold up, running in the mid 10s and lower.

a main girdle would defineatly let you put atleast 15psi with know prob. i know guys running 18psi on stock blocks with girlde. that would be a good investment if you had time do go into it.
