Can I get into the 11s with 380RWHP and 121MPH trapspeeds???

I have gained 75HP over last season and I trying to get into the 11s on 17" tires.

My best last year was 12.45 @ 113MPH with the stock long block at 8 PSI.

My new combo is in my sig

My race weight calculated is around 3100 with me in it. Maybe less maybe more.

I had one run at my favorite track in march with the new combo where I ran the 12.35 and blew a headgasket(my fault) and coasted through the traps at 115.

I went to may least favorite track(read no traction at all) after the repairs and I could only run a 12.60 at 120.9 with a lousy no traction 2.1 60'.

I can usually 60' the car in the 1.85 range on 17" tires agian this is at my good track.

I think I can get into the 11.90s with her I just need to hook up.

What do you guys think of the traps speeds?

LOL I may end up putting in a 6pt roll bar just to put some more weight over the rear tires.

Any hints on how to do this? all opinions welcome.

My friend ran a 12.40 last year @ 107mph. his car is lightened and it has a K-member and coilovers. he cuts 1.70 60 foot everytime. with 14 more mph i'd say deep 11's are feasible.
89 Coupe with parts stacked inside of it and about 30#'s of dust on it with no end in sight. :weird:

    Although I am collecting parts for a 12.5:1 393 :D

With a better driver, I bet you could run very low 11's or possibly a high 10:D . Maybe I should cruise up there and show ya how its done:bonk: :D :D .

    BTW
I haven't seen or talked to the guy with the vette since he blew it up. He doesn't any of our phone calls or anything . If I see him out, I will get some pics for ya Steve.

    Chuck,
He got them directly from MT, they are 30 minutes from here and he knows a couple of guys that work there.

Steve, do you still have the front swaybar attached? If so try yanking it for a trip to the track, not only will ya lose about 40 #'s off the nose, you'll transfer weight a bit better.
