    Engine shuts down at 3000!

My kit didn't come with any instructions, but I pretty much figured it all out. The problem is that when I hit 3000-3500 rpms at WOT the blocks; it just won't go past that speed????

I'm running speed density and I installed a check valve near the MAP sensor.

    Help!

Do you have an aftermarket ignition and/or coil?

you may still need a msd box or such. It could be going either real lean or real rich too.

For sure it's not lean.. But, too rich could cause the engine to stop?

sure, It could flood it out. It would be an extreme, but possible. I would change, cap, rotor, plugs, wires, and get an ignition box. Msd 6al's are not expensive.

I'm running 19#'s with a Vortech 12:1 FMU. I doubt it would flood

those injectors could go static and just shoot a stream of gas that won't atomize as well. I think your probably still blowing out the spark though. gapped at .28 might keep it from seeing enough spark too.

    no ac or power steering

    Brandon,
Just was wondering how you were handling your no ac or power steering setup. I talked to ASP yesterday and ordered a standard rotation pulley, and found that the 82 cougar has the standard rotation pump? Can't confirm that one yet. But for around $70 I would be in business.

Whereas if I go with the AC delete kit, it would be around $75 and I would have to add back the AC brackets. Any thoughts on this situation?
