    IAC question

I have seen pics of people's setups, and some people still have that black plastic box on the IAC hose. What is it for? I dont have it installed on my P1SC......

I beleive it is sort of a silencer for the IAC.

No, definitely not... the ATI kits eliminate it and use a hose instead.

I read in the ATI instructions to remove it, but if you look at the pic of the bullitt engine in the same instruction book, it has that black box on the IAC hose....

Doesn't matter, trust me. If you want it, then keep it, if you don't want it, then ditch it, it won't effect anything either way. I have done kits both ways... it's up to you.

Cool, thanks for the info. I was just wondering because when I come to a stop, my idle hangs at about 1100 for a few seconds then drops down to normal. I was thinking it might have been because that "box" was not on the hose.

Nah, that's the nature of mod motors... Emissions related I beleive... there are lots of cars out there that do that. The box has nothing to do with that.
