What is safe maximum blower speed?

Anyone know what the safest max blower speed is? I know the step up ratio and the formula to figure the speed I will get but not sure what this system ( N2k) is rated for.

The Novi 2K is good up to 55,000 rpm which would provide more boost than all but the best prepared 5.0 block can handle.;)

That works for me...with the pulleys I have lined up Im going to spin the unit 53,600.
With that known, im still going to see if I can slow it down a little more with a larger blower pulley. If you know anyone with a 3.5 or 4 inch 10 rib please have them e-mail me at cosmo34698@yahoo.com.
    Thanks

Hey Cosmo I have a 3.5 and a 4 inch 10 rib pulley. ASP charged me 85.00+6.50 shipping for the 3.5 inch pulley, its black aluminum. I opted for the aluminum. It took them a month or so to cut it for me. I also had to go get 3 shims from a special hardware store out here to make sure it aligned correctly. I'd include those with the black one. Make me an offer on either. lebeter@pacbell.net

Thanks Hustler...i will contact you seperately at your e-mail address within a week or so to see what kind of deal we can make. I had someone call me this am that said they found a 4inch for me for $40.00 but im leaning toward the 3.5 and I may end up getting the 4 inch from him and your 3.5 so I can play around with my boost output.

Im doing something a little different than you guys...im setting the blower up on a 509 inch Big Block Chevy and only looking for 5-6 lbs of boost. So I may have to spin the blower abot 50,000 just to make under 10lbs boost.

It should be a rocketship with the N2K...I have a Holley Commander fuel injection set up on it and I just send my computer back to Holley for the perfromance upgrade. With the blower pushing 10lbs of boost I will have 822 horsepower ( per the desktop dyno ).

ya the stock pulley will probably move about what your looking for since a 502 will flow a hell of a lot more air than a 302. Should be interesting, post pics once you have it done, I was going to fabricate a 429/460 buildup but decided against after hearing different stories.
